There’s 640 shown, so I suppose maybe you were counting that as half. But, people who live in major cities pay quite a bit in rent. In NYC 1240 a month would probably only get you a fairly shitty 1 bedroom in a less than desirable area.

Lots of people of course.. I pay $1500 for a 1 bedroom, high rise, downtown Vancouver. It’s small but a great view when bending the pick of the night over the patio railing.

People who haven’t payed rent in quite a while.
No.
January 29, 2013 at 7:16 pm
First of all, anything in my area is over $1000. Also, they are clearly all tens, so it’s $620. And to the person who said $1240 will get you a one bedroom in NYC, no way. You can’t get a crappy studio for that price.

We pay 2800 for rent for a four bedroom. And I live in a college town. Just depends on what your paying for what you want!

My point being it doesn’t have to be NYC or San Franscisco. Could just be rich young college kids. Have you seen the apartments near A&M?

Apartments in New Orleans go for around that much. Any less than that and you’re definitely in a bad neighborhood.
Fun activity: google streetview every apartment on craigslist that costs less than 1000 dollars.

That’s cheap. We pay $2300 for 2 bedrooms in a crappy area of San Francisco.
Jason
November 27, 2012 at 4:44 pm
Which is why I don’t live in NYC. $650 can get you a two bedroom HOUSE where I live.

Then after counting it I realized I’m only paying one sir’s worth less.

Nope, nope. $630. There are 62 bills. 61 $10′s and one $20.

More importantly, who pays the rent in all 10s, exactly enough bills to properly spell out “Your rent good sir”?
College
February 6, 2013 at 8:01 am
At college rent is really expensive. Around ASU rent is normally $600 to $800 a room for individual lease ( so a 4 bedroom is $600 times 4 equalling 2400)
